Raji Fashola is ‘Democracy Enemy’ Number One

CONDEMNABLE AND HIGHLY REPREHENSIBLE REPRESSION OF PEACFULL PROTESTERS BY FASHOLA'S RSS

I was one of the leaders/part of this peaceful protest/procession from NLC secretariat Yaba,on our our way to Gani Fawehinmi's Freedom Square,Ojota,Lagos in memory of our martyrs who were killed by police bullet during the week long national protest over fuel price hike.

Against the directive of new IG the peaceful protest was stopped by a barricade mounted with 3 RRS vehicles by Fashola's RRS(not Jonathan) blocking our ways at Onigbongbo Maryland.Lagos.

After protracted altercation between us and the RRS men we were heavily teargassed, brutalized,arrested, tortured and taking to Lagos Police headquarters at Ikeja.You need to see how some of us including Mrs Ganiat Fawehinmi and his son Barrister Mohammed Fawehinmi were tortured with direct teargas and at close range.

The brutalization was carried out by the Area F commander who dubious, cleverly and deliberately concealed his name tag throughout the mayhem.I was also part of those brutalized, arrested and taken to the Police headquarters at Ikeja.Others include Chair of JAF,Dr Dipo Fashina, Mohammed Fawehinmi,Comrades Popoola,Tunde Agunbiade (Lagos state NCP Chair) Kunle Oladejo,Sola Olatunde,Alex Omotehinse etc about 14 of us.

The point am making is that it was clear that the Fashola Lagos government funded RRS was used to repress us today(not Jonathan) the same way it was used to repress the Lekki Toll peaceful protesters and the directive came from the Governor's office (not Jonathan) that we should be forcefully dispersed and not be allowed to move an inch near Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Square. 

Therefore Gov Fashola is culpable,can not claim alibi nor be exonerated or hide under Jonathan to commit atrocities against peaceful protesters in Lagos.

The RRS armored tank stationed in LASU today because of school fees hike by Fashola is as if there is a civil war in LASU.All is at the instance of Gov Fashola to prevent students protest against his anti people's policies.After making statements, at Police headquarters we were release around 4pm today. Barrister Femi Falana and the Lagos NBA were on hand to intervene.

It is clear we have not committed any crime and we are neither Boko Haram.

To me this is just to intimidate us to give up the struggle.I think we should reassemble and continue the struggle until we regain our rights to peaceful protests that was won through past struggles but being taking away by these civilian dictators or tyrants in our gazing eyes.

I think we should also take legal action against the unjust RRS/police brutality today.We did not resist arrest but the beating and torture was just too much.We are not criminals.

I don't think we deserve it and I don't think the RRS/police have the right to beat, brutalize or torture us over this matter !!!
