Child Dedication: Waiting Upon The Lord Pays……Barr. Chuks Obusom

Okonta Emeka Okelum, Asaba

They that wait upon the lord, like eagle shall soar high beyond the sky, so says the holy scriptures, this defined the mood and feelings of the Council Chairman, Oshimili South LGA, Barr Chuks John Obusom’s child dedication ceremony.

Having waited faithfully and served the Lord for well over a decade now and still believed that the precious fruit of the womb will not elude him, Barr Obusom now have a lot of testimony and deeper insight when it comes to waiting upon the lord for blessings.

Last Sunday, the joy of the Obusom’s family prompted them to invite their family relations, associates and business/political friends to their child dedication church service.

The dedication service for Little Miss Emmanuelle Miracle Chidinma was performed at the main cathedral, Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) Asaba.

The heavily attended church service had in attendance the presence of the Delta State governor and his dear wife, top state government functionaries, some members of the Delta State House of Assembly, LGA Council Chairmen, State/LGA Political leaders, church members, friends, well-wishers, relations and family members.

The church’s resident pastor, Pst Julius Oyinloye, in his message titled ‘engaging the power of praise to experience a turnaround’ taught the importance of Christian praises.

Taking his scriptural text from 2 Chronicles 20:23, Psalm 23:3-5, John 4:24, Pst Oyinloye, observed that with praises heavenly blessings reach mankind as the lord takes over charge of our troubles with our praises.

He further taught that with praises Christians switch on the divine gifts of God, he also reminded all in attendance that the more praises the people of the Lord fill their lives with, the greater opportunities they amass for victorious exploits in their lives.

Pst Julius Oyinloye called upon both lukewarm and un-repented persons in the church to seek the face of the Lord through repentance and submission to the will of the Almighty, as one sure way to permanently enjoying the presence and blessings of God.

The Obusom’s after the Child Dedication Church Service hosted all to a post event reception outing at their country home.
