ANIOMA YOUTH COUNCIL PRESIDENT,MARCUS ENUDI CONDEMNS ATTACK ON FARMERS BY SUSPECTED HERDSMEN.






**Calls on Delta Assembly to expedite action in the passage of the bill seeking to criminalise indiscriminate grazing.

The President general of the Anioma youth council, Comr.Enudi Marcus had yesterday condemned in its entirety the brazen murder,killings and harassment of innocent citizens of the Anioma Nation and Deltans in General by some suspected herdsmen.Comr.Enudi noted in the statement that the killings and harassment of innocent farmers who go to their farms seeking for their daily means of livelihood were pure acts of barbarism and terrorism against the people and its land

.He stated that the actions of these dreaded Fulani herdsmen is a smack of obvious intent to annihilate a particular ethnic group even in their own fatherland,all in a bid to having a soft landing to forcefully graze in their Lands.

He described the recent attacks on farmers by the fulani herdsmen at Ebedei in Ukwuani LGA, Iselegu in Ndokwa East LGA and Amoji in Ndokwa west LGA all of Delta state as provocative, callous and total show of wickedness,calling on civil society organizations in the state to rise up and and lend their voice to the campaign against herdsmen activities and their continuous brutality in the state.

He Charged all to be at alert as no one knows their target, as various communities in the state has become endangered species.

While Calling on the Delta state House of Assembly and the state government to expedite actions in the passage of the bill seeking to criminalise indiscriminate grazing as a check against infiltrations by insurgents disguised as Herdsmen, Comr.Enudi equally called on security operatives in the state to rise up to their duties through Intelligence gathering rather that engaging in after effect fire Brigade as the people could resort to self defence when they feel not protected anymore.

He called on Deltans to remain calm and never to take laws in their hands, expressing confidence in the Ability of Governor Okowa to contain the ugly menace
