But Abiola-Edewor defeated Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello by 567 votes to three in a parallel primaries held at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.

Also, in a parallel exercise held in Ijebu-Ode for the same Ogun East Senatorial seat, Mr Adetunji Odunowo scored 1,004 votes to defeat Governor Daniel, who scored 35 votes.
