OGBECHI MARKS BIRTHDAY WITH DONATIONS TO ORPHANAGES

As part of activities to mark her birthday, Mrs Anwuli Ogbechi, Member representing Delta North in the State Waste Management Board, has donated gift items to three orphanage homes.

The beneficiaries are Shalom Orphanage Foundation, Ibusa, Pro Labouyjgre Dei Meal Centre in Asaba and Ogwashi-Uku.

In a remark, Mrs. Anwuli Ogbechi said that the philanthropist gesture was out of love for the less privileged. “There is this great joy   I feel inside me for doing this she said”.
While describing the inmates as precious children, she stated, “This is one of my best birthday celebrations”.

The celebrant called on medical practitioners to conduct free medical services for inmates in orphanage homes across the state.

Mrs. Ogbechi promised to be a regular caller to the homes. “ I am already a part of joy”, she added.

While commending the operators of the Orphanage homes she told the children to be studious.

Also speaking, the coordinator Pro Labore Dei Meal Centre Asaba, Mrs Maria Ebenuwa, thanked Mrs Ogebechi for her kind gestures.

She described her visited as timely, adding that the school sandals she donated would go along a way to enable the children meet up with the dress code of the centre.
Mrs Ebenuwa preyed that God would continue to bless celebrant, saying that whosoever gives to the destitute lends to God.

While receiving the gift on behalf of the Chief coordinator, Pro Labrore Dei World Wild, Sister Stella Marris Okonkwo, prayed that God would continue to protect the celebrant.

Rev. Fr. Isdore Igwekaile of Mary Immaculate Catholic Chhurch, Ogwashi-Uku in a sermon during mass held in honour of Mrs Anwuli Ogbechi at Pro Labore dei Meal Centre, Ogwashi-Uku lauded the celebrant for her decision to, mark her birthday with special recognition of the needs of ophans.

While calling on members of the public to emulate her, he enjoined Christians to continue to identify with God, adding that affluence comes from God. ‘’ The world may not love you, but when you do what pleases God you will be lifted,’’ he remark.

The priest said that the celebration has afforded him opportunity to worship and commune with the inmates.

The high light of the ceremony was the donation of Rosary and other prayer articles to Mrs. Ogbechi by the Priest.

The Items donated by Mrs. Anwuli Ogbechi to the Orphanage home included 3 bags of rice, 6 cartons of Indomie Noodles, 3 twenty litres of groundnut oil, 3 cartoon of Bonvita, 8  pairs of school scandals, 20 tin of Sardines, 3 crates of eggs, 3 tins of Peak Milk, food stuffs and toiletries.
