Thanksgiving has been identified as a springboard for greater blessing from God as God loves a cheerful and faithful giver.
The State Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama(SAN) stated this at the 2011 Bazaar and Harvest Thanksgiving of Saint John Mary Vianney Catholic Church, Asaba, Delta State.
Prof. Utuama, who chaired the occasion, advised Christians not to undermined God’s favour in their lives, stressing that thanksgiving was a virtue that believers should thirst for.
He congratulated the parishioners for building a beautiful edifice for the worship of God within the shortest possible time, adding that there should be nothing too big to thank God as the earth is of the Lord and the fullness thereof.
In his goodwill message, the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Delta State, Justice Stella Ogene, said harvest was a period of profound thanksgiving to God Almighty for all the favour received in anticipation for more.
Justice Ogene who was the Chairman, Harvest Planning Committees, noted that thanksgiving was an attempt to show to our Lord and maker that we are not ingrates nor unmindful of all his favour upon our lives.
She pointed out that successes and breakthrough in the years were purely the result of God’s grace and divine favour towards his children.
Highlight of the occasion was a bazaar.
