I want to build a stronger APC in Delta State……Emerhor

*No anointed candidate yet in Delta State…….Akamukali
*APC is active in Delta State……..Ogodor

At the recent Delta North leaders and stakeholders meeting of Delta Progressive Change Forum held at Asaba, the need to strengthen and deepen active opposition partisan politics was emphasized.

Olorogun O’tega Emerhor charged members of the forum and faithful members of the All Progressive Congress to brass-up to save Delta State from bad governance and retrogressive development.

My involvement with the party is to build and strengthen the party in Delta State, APC has the capacity to form government because we have a formidable national and regional structures, he pointed out.

The major objective of any serious political party is to form government and provide quality service to the masses, the 16 years of the ruling party in Delta State has nothing to show the presence of good governance and sustainable development, Olorogun O’tega shared with Asaba Post News-Wire.

My real vision for the party is to build a stronger APC in this state, if at the end of the day, a more competent person emerges as party aspirant, why not in the interest of the party’s progress, I will support his aspiration and eventual victory, O’tega assured.
Sir Olisa-Emeka Akamukali, the party’s National Auditor told Asaba Post News-Wire that for now there is yet any anointed candidate for any of the soon to happen elections in the state.

The beauty of democracy is an unhindered free and fair contested election, where the people freely choose their leaders; I will never support the imposition of any candidate on the people during the forth coming party congresses in Delta State.

Earlier in his welcome address, the National Chairman of the forum, Chief Abeye Cyril Ogodor debunked the insinuation that the party is not active in Delta State.

Our forum’s leadership is formidable, we have forged solid partnership with the party executives and we are ready to strengthen each other’s effort towards making the party a strong political household name in Delta State, as well as the number one political party to beat, Chief Ogodor told Asaba Post News-Wire.
