Philanthropist Donate Sporting Kits To Youngsters

Giving back to the community that shaped a man, is a noble action and one that supports community development.

The above position, yesterday, Sunday, found meaningful expression at Texas Sports Academy, Asaba.










A Nigerian-US based philanthropist and soccer enthusiast, Chief Dr Christian Ashibuogwu, yesterday, donated about 40 pairs of soccer booths and two footballs to youngsters of Texas Sports Academy.

As a soccer player in his youthful days, Chief Ashibuogwu, said he knows what and how it hurts to play soccer in their days without soccer booths.

This is why, I decided to support the academy with these pairs of sporting kits.

 I thank the Lord for his grace in my life and also appreciate all that the leadership of the academy is doing for our young persons in this town, Chief Ashibuogwu said.

Yesterday, in Delta State was marked as International Day for Street Children, as the academy ceased same occasion to mark the day with the philanthropist.

Today's international day celebration is very vital to us here, Mr Joe Dansaba, C.E.O-Texas Sports Academy, noted.

Because of the numerous kids actively taking part in our weekly sporting activities here, today's international day for street children is very remarkable to us at the academy.

I wholeheartedly appreciate our donor for his kind gesture towards our academy, Mr Dansaba said.

We are partnering with Texas Sports Academy and ready to partner with other public and private institutions, the do not emphasized.

In 2011, Chief Ashibuogwu established in the United States of America, a non-profit organization called Fiesta Christian Foundation for Physically Challenged Persons.

Since the past four years, our Nigerian office has being operational, Chief Ashibuogwu said.
