NDOKWA YOUTHS LEADERS COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE KILLING OF THREE NDOKWA SONS AT OWA ABBI BY FULANI HERDSMEN.

The Ndokwa Youth Council has condemned the barbaric killing of three Ndokwa sons by Fulani militias at Owa Abbi in Ukwuani Local Government Area of delta State.

According to a statement by the President of the group, Comrd. Chimennma Okolo Esq,

"First, Council commiserates with the families of the slain youths by herdsmen who now delights in shedding innocent blood.
Council condemns these killings in the strongest possible terms and views it as an evil act meted out to innocent citizens  who were about their lawful businesses."

"Further, Council views these killings which is fast becoming a routine in our farmlands as by these marauders as  highly  provocative which will be resisted. These killings are a clear show of the deteriorating security situation in the country as the security men are obviously more interested in searching phones of and intimidating and harassing innocent citizens than doing their job. This is a further confirmation of the failure of the Federal Government in its primary duties to the people which is the security of lives and property."

"Council wishes to call on the security agencies to rise up to their duties of securing lives and curb the activities of these criminal elements masquerading as herdsmen, as further unprovoked killings can no longer be tolerated  in any part of Ndokwa land henceforth. Council calls on the Ndokwa people to take safety precautions and to be ready to defend themselves in any of such further actions"

"Council states that the Ndokwa people will not yield their lands to the invaders: as our forbears defended our lands before us so we shall and call on our traditional institutions to stop allowing grazing on our lands. Council is however hopeful that things will not be allowed to degenerate further before these criminals are stopped!"
