2011: Uduaghan is battle ready

On 20th April, 2010, the political space in Delta State stood still, the wings of the opposition both within the state and outside, within the and outside the state ruling political party, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) lost their bearing and stand.

The Uduaghan 2011 Campaign organization was publically brought to Deltans, the roll call of men and minds who made possible the 2007 victory story of the present administration was made public, such men of confidence and commitment, upon the call of the Uduaghan 2011 campaign organization re-affirmed their commitment to doing what they know best to do, which is the realization of the second term bid of Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, as the Governor of Delta State come 2011.

Dr. Joseph Otumara, the Chairman, organizing committee of the inauguration of Uduaghan 2011 campaign organization, in his opening speech, reminded all that its time for the progressive politicking that will bring to fruition the realization of Uduaghan 2011 campaign organization’s aims and objectives, his opinion was anchored on the notion that the campaign organization has all it takes to make the dream come true.

Dr. Otumara, while recounting all the democratic milestones of the Uduaghan led-administration, collectively christianed these mil-stones “ripples of hope”

These ripples of hope he cited are the tools the campaign organization will use to defeat and put to shame all contrary forces, Dr. Otumara confidently state that with “ripples of hope” the campaign organization will pull-down all walls of opposition and force down all waves of resistance.

Chief James Otobo, the chairman of the event while expressing his delight and appreciation to the campaign organization for finding him worthy to chair the occasion, asked all the leadership and elders of the campaign at the state and local government area levels to recommit themselves to the course at hand and promised that he will reserve other speeches for the proper grass-root campaign period.

Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, spoke of the campaign organization as a great political family in the state, of which the human resource component represent the best in the Delta State political landscape. He reminded all the leadership and elders of the campaign organization that the required foot soliders are in the villages and as such all efforts should be made to get to these vital part of the success-team.

Dr. Okowa as an experienced politician recognized that with such a task and committment comes various forms and shades of pressure and challenges, his view were that only such circumstance can actually define ones commitment to the cause and task ahead, Dr. Okowa encouraged all actors to actively put in their best.
