WORLD MALARIA DAY CELEBRATION AT ASABA, DELTA STATE.





Malaria has been described as one of the most life threatening disease in Africa, studies show that
the scourge is linked to death cases and poor growth among young children and particularly dangerous
for pregnant women in Nigeria.



On the strength of the above, this year's world malaria day commemoration in Delta State witnessed a huge
and colourful active participation of the civil society organizations, private sector, NGOs and the Media.



International Center for women enpowerment and child development, society for family health, Yakubu Gowon Center for
National unity and Interantional co-operation, Delta State NGo coalition on Malaria and the Media were actively
involved in this years celebration.



the events include rally, peace walk, dramas, press briefing, handbill and flyers distribution, and public lecture
on malaria
