Victory, they say has lots of friends and relations, this was the case today at Oshimili South's ward eleven.
The duo of Hon. Arinze Chikelu and Hon. Helpus Abrifor hosted ward members to a feastful evening of celebration over the recent Superem Court Victory of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Appreciating ward members for their large turn out, Mr Okey Ijeoma, ward 11 Chairman, affairmed that the party at the ward level is one United family.
We are here today to celebrate at the ward level our party's superem court victory, Mr Ijeoma maintained.
An elated councillor, Hon Abrifor, speaking on behalf of both councillors, pointed out that there is enough room and opportunity in the party for all members.
We should at this point begin to extend arms of fellowship to all our aggrieved members, as we encourage them welcome them back to the fold, Hon Abrifor said.
On his part, Alhaji Muktar Usman, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa, expressing his feelings about the moment.
As you can see, the hand writing is well written on the wall, the savour of victory is everywhere and victory is ours.
To us in this ward, there is no Victor, no vanquished, it is all a family affair, as far as the party is concerned, Alhaji Usman explained.
Hon Adam Uzor while admonishing ward members, pointed out that the Superem Court Victory is a victory for the party.
The journey so far is nothing less the entrenchment of internal democracy within the ranks of the PDP.
Without missing words, our ward councillors, in the persons of Hon Chikelu and Hon Abrifor had performed creditably well and progressively represented us at the Oshimili South LGA Legislative arm.
I am pleased with the mass return and fellowship of our previously aggrieved members here today as well as the good reports our ward leadership had been known of at the LGA level for, Hon Afam Uzor said.
In a private media chat with both councillors, their feelings about the moment & future spoke volume.
For Hon Arinze Chikelu, we are here today to bring to the grassroot, all the pro party celebrations that had held sway at both the state and LGA levels.
We are by this stamping and driving home the fact that it is PDP, PDP, PDP all the way in ward 11.
My message to the world is that, by reason of our gathering here today, we are saying that there is no faction in the ward today.
I cease this opportunity to thank all our ward members for standing firm with the state governor, Governor Okowa and the party, Hon Abrifor pointed out.
The future for the party is now brighter as we are getting stronger everyday.
I encourage all ward members to continue their support for the party and Gov. Okowa, in the same vein I thank Rt Hon Peter Onwusanya for his strong leadership roles demonstrated in Oshimili South LGA as well as his support for the party and Gov Okowa, Hon Abrifor stressed.
Sharing his message to ward members, Hon Arinze Chikelu, urged them to remain faithful to party ideals.
We have seen democratic dividends in Oshimili South LGA, we are yet to see more, as the governor is committed at advancing more pro people grassroot sustainable development for the benefit of our people.
What I am doing here today, is what I saw our political party's leaders did at both state and LGA levels.
It is time our people at the grassroot, who gave us their mandate join in the celebration, Hon Arinze Chikelu told our reporter.
