OBA OF ABIGI KINGDOM, ROTARY PRESIDENT COMMENDS GOV OKOWA OVER ROTN OGHENESIVBE 'S APPOINTMENT AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT ON COMMUNICATION.





...SAYS OKOWA HAS DONE WELL IN INFRASTRUCTURE, POVERTY ALLEVIATION AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT.


Past Assistant District Governor (PAG) of Rotary International District 9110 and the Ojotumoro of Abigi Kingdom in Ogun State, South-West Nigeria, His Royal Highness, Oba Rotarian Barrister Segun Ogunye has commeded Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa over the appointment of the Past Vice President of Rotary Club of Akowonjo, District 9110, Dr Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe as his Executive Assistant on Communication.

Oba Ogunye in his goodwill message described Okowa as a world future leader with proven track records within two years in office as governor of Delta State, adding that excellent media reports on poverty alleviation, human capital development, infrastructure and socioeconomic development in the state is heart warming and deserves the commendation of Deltans and Nigerians.

"I thank the governor of Delta State for appointing a workaholic Rotarian from District 9110 as his Executive Assistant on Communication. We are delighted and cannot keep this joy secret hence it is necessary to bring it to the notice of the SMART GOVERNOR of Delta State.

"Rotarian Latimore Oghenesivbe served the Rotary Club of Akowonjo meritoriously as two time Club Secretary, Past Vice President and as member of various District and club service committees.

"We have no doubt in our minds that our able Club Past Vice President will bring to bear his wealth of experience as a seasoned political communication strategist and one of the leading light in media politics."

In the same vein, the President of Rotary Club of Akowonjo, Rotarian Barrister Shola Abidakun, thanked Gov Okowa for the appointment, adding that Rotarian Oghenesivbe is a tested and trusted communication expert who will not only deliver on his assigned responsibilities but shall set media politics agenda for the governor's political rivals and detractors while at the same time projecting policies of government and the SMART AGENDA.

Rotarian Oghenesivbe was appointed April this year by Gov Okowa as his Executive Assistant on Communication.

He holds a second class upper division degree in political Science, Masters in Public and International Affairs, a Law Degree, Barrister at Law Professional Certificate from the Nigerian Law School, a doctorate degree in Literature and a Diploma in Public Administration from various Universities; Enugu State University of Science and Technology, a Call to Bar Certificate from the Body of Benchers in Nigeria, University of Lagos, Nigerian Law School, University of Benin and Berkeley University, USA. He is to bag another PhD soon from one of the world's leading University.

Oghenesivbe is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), International Political Science Association (IPSA), Rotary International (RI) and Human Rights and Political Communication Committee Member of the American Political Science Association (APSA) domiciled at New York University, USA.
