Heads of Personnel Management of the
25 Local Government Areas in the state have been charged to complete all
on-going projects in their localities.
The
Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Project Monitoring, Sir Jude Sinebe
gave the charge when he paid an unscheduled visit to Oshimili South Local
Government Council.
Sir
Sinebe, who was satisfied at the quality of work executed in the council called
on HPMs of other Local Government Areas in the state to key in into the 3-point
agenda of Governor Uduaghan led-administration by ensuring infrastructural
development in the areas.
He
said that the governor’s vision of transforming the state would not be
compromised, adding that the Heads of Personnel Management of the councils
should ensure that contractors delivered the projects according to
specifications, even as he said that shoddy jobs would not be condoned.
The
Special Adviser however frowned at the poor condition of the Chairman’s
Official Quarters and directed the HPM, Mr. Tony Mekwunye to relocate the youth
corps members that were occupying the chairman’s quarters.
Sir
Sinebe, also directed the HPM to carry out some repairs on the Primary Health
Centre at Umuagu in Oshimili South Local Government Area.
The
Head of Personnel Management of the council, Mr. Tony Mekunye promised to
execute more projects in the council and advised the masses to be law abiding
in order to attract more dividends of democracy.
In
a related development, the Special Adviser enjoined Public Service Forum of the
indigenes of Patani Local Government Area to assist the council with their
wealth of experience in civil service when the group paid him a courtesy visit
in Asaba.
He
advised the group to put ethnic sentiment aside and ensure that all communities
in the Local Government Area benefited immensely from their experience.
Earlier,
the President of the forum, Mr. Fyncountry Goodluck thanked the Special Adviser
for the warm reception accorded the group and expressed their appreciation to
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for finding Sir Jude Sinebe worthy of the
appointment.
