FOCUS GROUP PASSES A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON SEN. NWAOBOSHI

The FOCUS GROUP, comprising 25 political groups in Delta North, yesterday, December 23, 2017, paid a courtesy call on sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, at his Asaba residence.

The group was led by its head, Chief Tony Okowa, the Chairman, the Delta Sports Commission and the co-ordinator, Chief Isioma Okonta SSA to the Governor of Delta State on Special Duties.

In a statement, the group maintained its stand and resolve to continually give Sen. Nwaoboshi support for more effective and resourceful representation at the National Assembly.

Chief Isioma Okonta, while addressing the Senator stated that the group decision was predicated on the basis of Sen. Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi's effective and efficient representation seen in all the nooks and crannies of Delta North senatorial district vis a vis his developmental strides in just two years and half in the Senate even as a first timer senator speaks volume.

Sen. Nwaoboshi, expressed joy for such show of love and the continuous support he enjoyed from Anioma people since his assumption of office in the Senate.

 He further stated that so far, so good, he was doing well at the senate, stressing that a lot of projects have been attracted, his bills have passed complete stages, motions were accepted and treated at the floor of the senate while one among his Bills, the Bill for an act to amend NDDC act has just been passed and accented to by the President of Nigeria.

 "What it goes to show is that Anioma has a voice in the Senate today with Sen Barr Peter Nwaoboshi representing Delta Northerners in the Senate" -he remarked.

He also emphasised that he was prepared to identify with both political and non-political groups.

The group in the end passed a vote of confidence on Sen Barr Peter Nwaoboshi for his dexterity and sagacity.
