OTIVE DISPELS RUMOURS THAT COUNCIL ELECTION WILL NOT HOLD




*Drums Supports For APC Chairmanship candidate and 20 Councillors in Ughelli North LGA

Ahead of the January 6th 2018 Council election in Delta State, @ Delta APC Leader, Dr. Otive Igbuzor has on Thursday, December 28th,  in his country home, Odeyovwi Villa, Emonu-Orogun, charged Deltans to disregard rumours that elections will not hold, but rather, urged APC Party faithfuls to put all their efforts in this elections so that they can win at the polling units.

In his word of advice, he implored the Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates to have a working knowledge of their agents, and at the same time, have at least, ten credible people in each unit who can stand for them and defend their votes.

He also urged the Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates to employ due diligence to read and train their agents about the DESIEC laws to know the procedures in case of any breach of the Electoral process which can be used as evidence against them in court.

High point of the occasion was his presentation of half a Million Naira (N500, 000) to APC through the Chairman, Finance and Strategy Committee of the 2018 Local Government Election and his team, headed by Dr. Sir Chief Ominimini Ubiuwevwi.

Dr. Igbuzor also supported the Chairmanship Candidate, Comrade Ese Akponana with One Hundred Thousand (N100, 000), while all the twenty Councillorship candidates got twenty thousand naira each, totaling Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N400, 000).

In their remarks, beginning from Dr. Sir Chief Ominimini Ubiuwevwi, the Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency 1 hopeful thanked Dr. Otive Igbuzor for the advice and lecture he gave them and his magnanimity. 

The APC Ughelli North Chairmanship Candidate, Comrade Ese Akponana who, on behalf of the Councillors, was full of praise for Dr. Otive Igbuzor, said that from now on, he will make Otive’s house his home, that whenever Otive is in town, he will always come around.

The meeting ended on a happy note as all were energized the more to work hard for the success of the APC at the polls come January 6th, 2018.
