MASSIVE CLOSURE OF ACCOUNT AT GTB BY IGBO BUSINESSMEN

***Igbo group issues 14 days ultimatum to GTB

There was massive closure of Accounts at GTB by Igbo businessmen Nationwide in protest of maltreatment of Innoson. Billions are being moved as of this afternoon to other banks.

The Managing Director, GTB, Segun Agbaje is begging all Igbos who are their customers that angrily move their money out of the bank and those doing transfer to handle the fuse with patience that things will be taken care of.

According to him, he said that more than 1.5trn has left the bank Nationwide because of the fuse between GTB bank and INNOSON Group and thereby beg IGBOS and other Old Easterners that move their money out of GTB Bank to soft pedal. 

He said that 95percent of economic blood that keeps the bank and Nigerian economy going are been done by Ndi Igbo as a result of high volume of cash transaction they do and also their art of business wizardry God bless them with.

He said that he is tendering an unreserved apology to Igbo people to forgive, that together, we shall make Nigeria great again.

Meanwhile, Pan - Igbo Organisation, South East Revival Group (SERG) had issued 14 days ultimatum to GTB management to pay Innoson Motors every kobo owed him or the group will shut down all GTB branches in the Southeast states.

The group in a statement signed by Willy Ezugwu ‘’has urged the easterners yet to close their account or corporate account to do so immediately as a mark of solidarity and to protest what it described as a systematic conspiracy against the Igbos in Nigeria’’.
