BAN ON FIREWORKS STILL IN FORCE, CP DELTA WARNS

17th December, 2017

PRESS RELEASE

BAN ON FIREWORKS STILL IN FORCE

CP DELTA WARNS

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State, CP. Zanna M. Ibrahim psc

has announced that the ban on the use of fireworks is still in force and that the Command will enforce all the extant laws prohibiting the use of fireworks such as “knock-out,” “banger” etc. The CP, while noting that the ban is necessary to safe-guard public safety and avoid distractions to security operatives, especially during the yuletide season, enjoins members of the public not to run foul of the law as anyone caught will be decisively dealt with.

The CP also assures Deltans of their safety at all times and called on them to continue to support the police and other security agencies in their untiring efforts at providing a peaceful and secure environment for the people.

DSP ANDREW ANIAMAKA,

POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER,

DELTA STATE COMMAND.
