Okonta Emeka Okelum, Asaba

As the January 6th 2018, local government area elections approaches fast, the Oshimili South LGA chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has driven her campaign trains down to the ward levels.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the party's leaders, members and admirers at both wards 7 & 8, turned out in their numbers to meet their party's flag bearers in the forthcoming council polls.

One of the highlights of the grassroot driven campaigns was the introduction and handing over of party flag to the councilorship candidates of both wards.

Party leaders in the council area took turn to motivate party members and non members present alike, on the need to vote for the party.

Dr. Nic Azinge, honourable commissioner for health, in his welcome address to party leaders and members noted that  come January 6th, we will work round the clock to secure victory for PDP.

Furthermore, the health commissioner, urged party faithfuls to also have in mind about their support for the working governor come 2019.

I appreciate our ward leaders, who have kept Faith with the party and supported every move of the party so far, Dr Azinge observed.

In his opinion, the former LGA party chairman, Evang. Ebielim Maduemezia, urged the people to stop paying attention to voices of division making round in town.

Asaba and Okoh are one, we share similar culture, we are one in Anioma nation.

The Party took time well to figure out a flag bearer, he is okay, we trust him, we love him and believe he will perform well, Evang Maduemezia noted.

A voice that was sharp and well heard was that of the Oshimili South LGA party chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji.

We are now seriously taking our campaigns down to the people, our voices are sounding loud and clear, thank God the people are hearing us.

Victory is sure because we have worked for it and our amiable governor has helped us in that regard.

We are not just campaigning, we are also bringing to the people's attention, information about our governor's good works.

Gov. Okowa is keeping all hid campaign promises, we know he will do more, I beg you all to come out come January 6th 2018 to vote for PDP.

We do not have another party in Oshimili South LGA, your welfare is our concern, Ogbueshi Okonji pointed out.

Sharing his views, Alanza Uche Ugboma, observed his happiness over the smooth movement of affairs so far.

There is no end to governance, there is also no end to development, PDP is committed to advancing the welfare of the people, that we will always do.

For the future elections in Oshimili South LGA, we are ready to increase our votes, hence we are taking our campaigns down to the grassroots, Alanza Ugboma said.

The visibly and over happy party flag bearers, Comrade
Uche Osadebe and Comrade Sunny Obi Nwose, were short of words but expressed gratitude to the people for their love and support.

I am glad that our political fathers at the ward levels had blessed us today and assured us of their support to continue upon this political journey.

We are here to greet you, we are not here to campaign our great party leaders are from your wards, they have spoken our minds to you.

We therefore, urge you to remember that come January  6th 2018, we will all cast our votes for the PDP, Comrade Uche Osadebe implored party faithfuls.
