DELTA LG POLLS: Okowa Predicts Landslide Victory For PDP


... As Ibori, Uduaghan, Others Attend PDP Campaigns in Koko, Oghara, Sapele

Delta State Governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has said that with the massive turnout of party faithful in all the PDP campaign rallies,, party candidates will win landslide in the Local Government Elections in 2018.

Speaking today (15/12/17) during the Peoples' Democratic Party [PDP] Local Government Election campaign flag off in Koko, Oghara and Sapele for the January 6, 2018  in Warri North, Ethiope West and Sapele local government areas, Governor Okowa called on party leaders to remain united and committed to the ideals of the party for it to emerge victorious in the elections.

According to Governor Okowa, "PDP is a party that believes in planning hence the vigorous campaigns to ensure victory for all our candidates", adding "with the crowd of party faithful here today, there is no doubt that the party candidates will win landslide come January 6th,"

The Governor assured that DESOPADEC will be empowered to carry out more projects in the areas in 2018.

Governor Okowa commended the people for their support for his administration, assuring the people  that the PDP government will continue to deliver on its electoral promises, assuring that the Sapele Road Dualisation and Market projects will be completed before May, 2018.

At Oghara, Governor Okowa acknowledged the sterling contributions of Chief James Ibori to the growth of the PDP in Delta State stating "Chief Ibori built a solid foundation for all of us in Delta State and by the grace of God the foundation will remain solid," stressing the strength of the PDP lies in Ethiope West local government.

Former Governor James Ibori who spoke in Urhobo thanked the people for their support for the PDP and urged them to turn out enmass to vote all PDP candidates in the oncoming Local government elections.

At Koko, Immediate Past Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan noted that Warri North has always been the centre of PDP and thanked God that there was no loss of lives in the choice of the Chairmanship candidate of the party. He called on Governor Okowa to use his good office as Governor, to seal the peace process already initiated in the Local government area.

Chairman of the PDP in the state, Barr. Kingsley Esiso expressed confidence that the PDP will win in the polls, asserting, "there is no other political party in the state; other political parties should come out and campaign if they trust in themselves."

Receiving decampees from other parties led by Keke Omuvwie and Abel Efe in Oghara, and Sapele, Esiso assured the decampees that PDP accords equal opportunities to all members.

Barr. Esiso had earlier presented party flags to the Chairmanship candidates Hon. Aduge Okorodudu, Solomon Golley and Eugene Inoaghan at Koko, Oghara and Sapele respectively.
