YOUTHS TOLD TO SHUN UNACCEPTED LIFE STYLE, CONTRIBUTE MEANINGFULLY TO GROWTH, DEVT


Youths in the society have been advised to shun all forms of unaccepted life style and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of their localities.

A front line Community leader, in Okpanam, Chief Kanayo Chiemeke, gave the advice in Okpanam shortly after taking the Olor title.

Chief Chiemeke stated that when youths carry-on with an impeccable life style, they were bound to attract recognition from their elders.

He said expressed joy at his chieftaincy installation, saying it had actualized his aged long dreams of becoming a Chief, stressing that he would avail himself of the exalted title to continue to add value to his community.

He pledged to contribute his quota towards decision process making that would take his community to an enviable height.

The ceremony which was attended by the Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Patrick Ukah, attracted several dignitaries including a renowned chief in the community, Chief Paul Nwayalani, among others.

Speaking earlier, the Chief Priest of Okpanam community, Chief Abua Ntoka, urged the newly initiated Chief to avoid any act that would portray the forum of chiefs in the community in bad light.

In their separate remarks, the wives of the newly crowned chief, Ebele and Augustina Chiemeke expressed joy and thanked well wishers for identifying with the Chiemeke family, even as they prayed for good health for their husband.
