EFCC arrests OSOPADEC Boss

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) this morning whisked away the Chairman of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSUPADEC), Prince Debo Ajimuda on allegation bording on fraud and misappropriation of public funds running into billions of Naira.

Reports reaching Elombah.com Newsdesk confirmed that his multi-million Naira mansion in Akure is presently being ransacked by EFCC Officials.

In a chat with an insider in the anti-graft agency on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the allegation against Prince Ajimuda are weighty as they mostly borders on reckless spending of unbudgeted funds and official corruption. The source said, the Agency will leave no stone unturned to get to the root of the matter.

Prince Ajimuda who is a Chieftain of the ruling Labour Party (LP) hails from Okitipupa. He is a staunch loyalist of the Governor, Dr. Segun Mimiko [pictured above].

Early last year during the Voters registration exercise, he made news headlines when several Direct Data Capturing Machines (DDC) belonging to INEC were found in his private residence. All moves made by INEC and the opposition political parties to bring him to book yielded no results as the State Governor, Dr. Mimiko was said to be solidly behind him.

Prince Ajimuda recently indicted his predecessor Chief Adewale Omojuwa, accusing him of spending N6.7billion to sand-fill the Adagbakuje New Town project.

However, EFCC is yet to make any statement on his arrest while all attempts made to reach OSOPADEC's spokesman yielded no results.
