GOVT WILL MAKE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE” UDUAGHAN ASSURES DELTANS





The massive infrastructural decay and accommodation problems plaguing public schools in Delta State will soon be a thing of the past as the government of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan embarks on the renovation of school building and construction of new ones in Primary and Secondary Schools across the state.

The Governor, who visited some of the benefiting schools at Agbor, promised to complete the projects within a short period of time in order to enable the students and pupils of the schools continued their studies in a conducive environment.

At Orogodo Primary School, Agbor, one of the benefitting schools he visited, he expressed satisfaction on the rate progress on the job and the high quality materials being used by the contractor handling the project.

Orogodo Primary School, Agbor is one of the oldest primary schools in town that had produced a lot of prominent people in Delta State and beyond, before the renovation was a death trap as a result of dilapidating buildings under which pupils and teachers used for teaching and learning.

According to the Site Engineer handling the project, Engr. Kole Akinbohun, the project included the renovation of a six room blocks, building of a six and three classroom block, reconstruction of fence around the school and building of a security post.
The Engr., who promised that the project would be completed before the end of March, disclosed that the project was being sponsored by Delta State Government.

Another benefiting school from this kind gesture of Governor Uduaghan is Ogbemudein Secondary School which had received several blocks and office buildings both from Delta State Government, UBEC, Education Trust Fund and SUBEB, to the amazement of the people.

One of the Vice Principals of the school, who spoke on anonymity, praised the State government for the wonderful projects in the school as well as other stakeholders who had contributed towards uplifting the standard of the school.

At Baptist Girls High School, where similar projects were also going on, the Principal of the School, Mrs. Eziafa D. C. Mgbeze was full of gratitude to the Governor for the renovation he carried out on their burnt Hostel with modern materials as well as ongoing projects of some blocks of classrooms.

She confirmed that Baptist Girls High School was one of the schools Delta State Government had handed over to the missionaries, adding that very soon, the owners of the school would commence admission of students into JSS1 while the school had graduated her students to enable the missionaries take full control of the school.
