Alphonsus Ojo, A Voice To Reckon With In The 6th Assembly

The lawmaker representing Ukwuani constituency in Delta State House of Assembly Hon. (Dr) Alphonsus Ojo has contributed immensely and has made sound impacts in Delta 6th Assembly.

He has virtually been very much involved in the preparation and presentation of several of the bills that has been passed into law especially those passed recently under the house leadership of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Indeed, the knowledge and wealth of experience he has garnered along these years in the field of lawmaking has greatly impacted meaningfully on the entire state through the successful sponsors and cosponsors of legacy's bills.

Barely six days after the State House of Assembly passed the Anti Medical Quackery Bill (sponsored by Hon. Dr. Ojo) into law which bill seeks to comprehensively regulate all facets of the health sector to adhere strictly to international best practices and reduce the incidence of quackery in the sector and solely aimed at safeguarding the health of all Deltans, the State House of Assembly had on 02-4-19 passed into law the Delta State Sickle Cell Bill.

While kudos has been duly given to Hon. (Barr) Pat Ajudua the principal sponsor of the Delta State Sickle Cell Bill, the contributions of a co-sponsor of the bill, Hon. (Dr.) Ojo especially as the Health Committee Chairman who dexteriously handled the bill at the Committee stage is duly recognized.

Meanwhile, Hon. (Dr) Ojo, the Chairman House Committee on Health had said that the bill when it becomes operational will help manage and reduce incidence of Sickle Cell in the state.

He also emphasized that the centre  will help sufferers of Sickle Cell get quality care by qualified personnel.

However, as Delta 6th Assembly adjudged as the best in the history of the state in terms of synergy with the executive and responsiveness to Deltans, history will always remember Hon. (Dr) Ojo as a strong voice in and a pillar of the 6th Assembly.

Truly, the dynamic and dogged Voice of Ukwuani constituency is finishing stronger and as an asset we're optimistic that his services will be greatly needed by the executive in quest for a stronger Delta.
