HON. PRINCE NED NWOKO TO HOST THE 1ST ENUANI BEAUTY PAGEANT, ARTS AND CULTURAL SHOW

In line with his strong affections for nature, beauty, arts and culture, and his total commitment to resuscitating the positive aspects of the rich cultural heritage of Anioma people, as a means of expanding the horizons of the tourism industry in Delta state cum Nigeria. Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, as always, has pledged to host the 1st Enuani Beauty pageant, Arts and Cultural carnival, tagged ENUANI 2019. Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, The foremost individual promoter of culture, education, art, sports and tourism in Nigeria made the pledged while responding to a request by ENUANI CULTURAL PAGEANT GROUP, who paid him a courtesy visit at his Mount Ned Nwoko Tourist Resorts, Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State, Saturday. Addressing, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, the CEO of Enuani Cultural Beauty Pageant Group, Comrade Onochie Nweke said' "we are members of Enuani Cultural Beautiful Pageant Group, the group was founded with the aim of contributing its quotas towards the cultural revolution ongoing in the country. We are into sensitising our people on the importance of preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage, because, we believe our cultural is our life. Our culture defines who we are and it marks significant difference between we the Enuani people and other people of the world. Hence we deemed it very necessary to preserve all those things that make Enuani people unique and special. We must preserve these cultural elements of ours for the next generation. We believed the best way to preserve our culture is to promote them. For these reasons, this group was founded. And we are here today, to see you to intimate you of our plans to organize the median edition of Enuani Beauty Pageant, Arts and Cultural Carnival. We decided to approach you because we know you are the foremost preserver and promoter of our culture. So, we are soliciting for your assistance to stage the event here at Mount Ned Nwoko Resorts, possibly from now to May or June, 2019 We have among our members, young talented artists and they will be exhibiting their works during the show. All the planned activities are our little ways of projecting and promoting the cultural heritage of our Enuani people," Comrade Onochie concluded. Responding, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko expressed delight to receive the group in his house and thank them for conceiving such noble ideas. In his words, "I am particularly delighted to see you, young men and women get involved in promoting the culture of our people. That is commendable and I want to commend you for your courage and commitment to uplifting the culture of our people. I promise you, I will do everything within my reach to assist you in your noble mission." Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, had earlier shown the group round some rare and exotic artifacts and historic relics at the Mount Ned Nwoko Resort and conducted them round landmark features at the Resort, like the replica of the pyramid, the fountain of living water, the tunnel, the kings chamber, the Tower which is the highest point in Delta State and also the sports section, which included, pavilion for Table Tennis and snookers/Billiards, the swimming pool and the Tennis Court. He told the group that he is very passionate about Arts, Culture, Education and Sports which he said, are the pillars of the tourism industry. He reiterated the his vision for developing Mount Ned Nwoko Resort and the STARS University, which he said are to expand the tourism potentials in Delta state, to encourage tourists to come to the state. Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko further reminded the group that outside the oil industry, the tourism industry is the next sector that can survive a country but regretted that Nigeria is yet to tap her huge tourism potential for job creation and development. He later lead the group to the poolside for group photographs, where some foreign tourists were seeing playing Tennis while others were cooling off in the pool. At that point, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko said, "look at these people, they are foreign tourists, as you can see, they are having some nice time here. These are what we are doing to encourage tourists to visit our country." Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko later presented two copies of a book he authored, titled *Mount of Delta*, to the group. The book contains some rare photographs among which is the photo of the motorcycle rode by the late patriarch of Nwoko dynasty, His Royal Majesty, OBI NWOKO (I) Recall that Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko had hosted numerous events at Mount Ned Nwoko Tourists Resort, some of these events included, National Golf Tournament, NUJ Tennis Championship and Under 15 Delta State Swimming competition. Others included the Miss Teen Anioma Cuisine and Beauty Pageant and most recently, an Arts exhibition by Delta State ministry of Arts and Culture.
