Asaba Flooding: DTSG Appeals To Asaba Residents Over Flood Control Measures


An appeal has gone to Deltans to exercise patience with the state Government for the inconveniences been experienced with the construction of the storm water control measures on Old Anwai, Nnebisi, Amb Ralph Umechue and DBS Road that will commence soon.

Works commissioner, Chief James Augoye made this appeal following complaints of inconveniences by residents and road users on the axis where the construction is being carried out.

Chief Augoye maintained that the state Government is committed to eradicating the menace of incessant flooding in the states capital and it’s environment by Ryan storm water adding that the inconvenience being experienced with the construction of the storm water channels would soon be a thing of the past.

While exphasizing that the construction of the projects was for the ultimate benefit and good of Deltans, the Works commissioner called on the residents of the affected areas to continue to co-operate with the Governor Okowa Led Administration in her giant strides in roads and drainage developement in the state.
