Government Approves 6 Road Projects Across Delta

The Delta State Government has approved six major roads for construction, reconstruction and resurfacing across the state. This was revealed to journalists by the Commissioner of Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah immediately after the State Executive Council meeting, held today in Asaba.

The Commissioner said that the Old Umunede/Emuhu road with a spur to the Asaba-Benin Expressway in Ika area of the state was approved for reconstruction and resurfacing.

He also said that the Obiaruku/Umuebu road, the first five kilometers from Obiaruku Phase 1 project in Ukwuani LGA was approved for construction. Equally, the continuation of the reconstruction of Amai/Ezionum/Abbi road, about 3.7 kilometers length
between Ezionum and Abbi to complete the Phase 3 of the project in Ukwuani and Ndokwa West LGAs was approved.

Meanwhile, other approvals include the construction of access road to Ugbuwangwu New Layout in Warri South LGA, construction of Okwuomowa road in Osubi to link Etakpo Lane/Mac Nero and the construction of Bethel Oborovwori Crescent/Iyamu Street in Osubi to link Maroko in Okuokoko were made.

In the same vein, the reconstruction of Ekete Main Road, Off DSC Expressway, Ekete inland in Udu LGA was approved.
