DELTA STATE APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF MORE ROADS ACROSS THREE SENATORIAL DISTRICTS





Delta State Government has approved the construction of more roads in the State to fulfill it electioneering campaign promises to Deltans.

The Commissioner for Information, Mr Patrick Ukah disclosed this in a post Exco press briefing to journalists today in Asaba.

According to Mr Ukah, the road approved by Exco for construction and reconstruction in the State included the reconstruction and resurfacing of Old Umunede/Emuhu Road with a spur to the Asaba/Benin Express Way in Ika South Local Government Area and the construction of Obiaruku/Umuebu Road (Phase 1 and first 5 kilometers from Obiaruku) in Ukwuani Local Government Area

Exco also approved the reconstruction of Ovivomowa Road in Osubi to link Etokpo lane/Mac Nero, and the construction of Bethel Oborevwori Crescent/Iyamu Street in Osubi to link Maroko in Okuokoko.

Equally approved for construction, according to the Information Commissioner, were the reconstruction of Amai/Ezionum Abbi Road, completion of phase iv to the project (3.7 kilometre length between Ezionum and Abbi in Ukwuani and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas and construction of Access Road to Ugbuwangue New Layout, Off Vincent Uduaghan Road, Ugbuwangue, Warri South Local Government Area.
