NULGE OSLGA Visits Council Chairman, Vow To Partner

The leadership of Oshimili South LGA chapter, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), today, Monday, paid courtesy to the council chairman, Hon Comrade Uche Osadebe.

The union's chairman, Comrade (Mrs) Maryjane Obiazor, congratulated the council boss, over his landslide at the just concluded January 6th council polls.

It is our fervent prayer that God may grant you more wisdom to pilot the council's affairs and make it better.

We also note that the general and monthly environmental sanitation your administration kicked off last Thursday, recorded great success.

We wish to plead our loyalty and to assure you that we shall join hands with you in the search for a speedy solution to the enormous problems facing our council.

The union leader assured Hon Comrade Uche Osadebe and his Vice Chairman, Hon Sunny Obi Nwose, that their union will not relent or falter in the pursuit of a common vision that will result in the transformation that will take the council to an enviable height.

Comrade (Mrs) Maryjane Obiazor, listed some of the challenges of the union to include, unpaid staff claims; staff participation in revenue drive; need to rehabilitate complex lavatories and sought the release of conference hall for use of the union's function and needs.

It is our fervent prayer that in no distant time we shall witness an improved economy so that the arrears owed our workers will be cleared, Comrade (Mrs) Obiazor prayed.

In his response on behalf of the council boss, Hon Sunny Obi Nwose, thanked the visiting delegation over their felicity and willingness to partner with the executive.

We have heard all details about your concerns, I assure you that we will proactively look into your claims, needs and concerns.

All these needs and concerns you made mention of, revolves around available funds and finance.

Nothing you made mention of is out of place, but I beg you to give us more time to settle down in office. 

As the council's economy improves, both executive and legislative arms will jointly seek lasting solution to your concerns and claims.

Workers welfare is paramount, foremost in the Hon Comrade Uche Osadebe led-Administration, Hon Nwose said.

He is equally a comrade, has fought for people's need and is still committed to defence of people's right, he is never tired of defending and upholding the rights of others, Hon Obi Nwose pointed out.

In the course of this robust envisaged partnership, there might be issues, concerns and misunderstandings, please to us, our doors are open for dialogue, Hon Nwose said.
