Hon Uche Keshi Tours Asaba Schools, Doles Out Educational Materials

Okonta Emeka Okelum, Asaba

Last Month, January, a former ward councillor, Hon Uche Keshi, undertook a tour of some schools in Asaba.

As a parent and politician, he told our reporter during a brief engagement that one of the reasons for his educational facility tour was to seek for opportunities for giving back to the humanity and society.

I visited these schools so that I can show some level of appreciation to the pupils and offer the little support my means can afford.

He visited Abu Ato Primary School and Kids Guild International Day Care, Nursery & Primary School, both in Asaba.

Kids Guild International Day Care, Nursery & Primary School, was where some years ago he did his Industrial Training/Attachment programs.

For the pupils of the school, his coming to the school was a great reunion opportunity for him and the pupils, he said.

Same feelings of gratitude was expressed at Abu Ato Primary School by both staff and pupils of the school.

Education is the basic right of every child, no adult has the power to deny them access to quality education.

It is our duties as adults to do everything in our powers and abilities to encourage them to embrace education.

This is the reason for my school tour and donation of educational materials, Hon Uche Keshi pointed out.

Hon Uche Keshi is an aspiring Delta State House of Assembly Hopeful for the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Oshimili South LGA.

According to him, his electioneering and campaign slogans and response are: "Equity 2019 progress",  "progress Equity must stand" respectively.
