Corruption Allegation: Ogbulafor Gets Confidence Vote

By Zacheaus Somorin

Following the allegations of corruption leveled against the National Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, some loyalists of the party have said that the allegations are baseless, saying that the party chairman is innocent.
They described the allegations as a product of envy and frustration by those who have been paid to sabotage and destroy PDP from within.

Arising from a one-day emergency meeting in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Monday, the stakeholders in a communiqué subsequently passed a vote of confidence on Ogbulafor and NWC.

“There is no iota of truth in those allegations, let them take it to EFCC and the court and see how quickly it would dissolve into vapour”, they contended.

The stakeholders stated further that those tackling Ogbulafor ''are afraid of internal democracy. They are used to imposition of candidates. So what you see going on is to blackmail the NWC into submission. But it can never workÅh.

“Everybody who is elected under PDP should obey and support the party at all times, we must be good party men and women who believe in the supremacy of the party,'' they submitted.
