Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, on Thursday
said the civil service restructuring embarked upon by his administration was
not a witch-hunt.
The exercise, he said was to reposition the civil
service to enable the administration to deliver on its electioneering promises.
The governor spoke during the inauguration of the
chairmen and members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission
and the Local Government Service Commission.
Fayemi, who was represented by the Secretary to the
State Government, Dr. Ganiyu Owolabi, said the administration would deliver on
all its promises.
He added, “Our government has been vigorously
implementing the Civil Service Transformation Strategy in order to ensure more
efficient service delivery.”
He assured the people of the state’s willingness to
exploit all available avenue for the socio-economic development of the state.
