All Hail Ned Nwoko, The Beautiful Pride Of Anioma

By: Patrick Ochei

Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, the man who rescued Nigeria from economic recession and unarguably the Beautiful Bride of Anioma is a delight anytime any day in all ramifications. He is always a cynosure of eyes in any political, social and other gatherings of intelligentsias.

Following the activities of the Prince of Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North LGA, one can always deduce that he is a threat to any individual or institution when he decides to challenge any cause. This is because nothing can be held against him.

Since his announcing his political ambition for the Senate, many political gods had not had a moment of sleep, including the Oracle currently occupying the seat of Senate for the Anioma people.

Quite interestingly, the people of Anioma appear the happiest with the foray of the Great Prince of Anioma into the race for the Senate. They are not only eagerly awaiting the day to give their mandate to Ned as their preferred candidate; they are infectiously convinced he is the man to Rescue Anioma at this point in time.

Prince Ned Nwoko is not just a well established international personality in the game of politics, he is a good man in every sense of being good. He is one big man in politics that is always ready to identify with the downtrodden, the less privileged, the women, the youths and all manner of persons. He has so much passion for philanthropy; so much more for community development and societal good.

There are several factors that always endear Ned to the people and none had for once been faulted. Though they tried to come in the way of religion, referring to him as a Moslem. Of course, he is not denying being a Moslem, but a proud one at that, because the Constitution of Nigeria allows every citizen the freedom in choosing his or her religion. It's a personal matter; and of course all religions emanate from one source and transcendent to one source - God Almighty. So playing politics with one's religious belief and faith could only tantamount to kindergarten and infantile show of behaviour.

For the man Ned Nwoko, political analysts have observed that he is the biggest threat to the personality known as the Political Oracle, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, who is currently occupying the office of the Senator, representing the Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly. They said Ned is not just a threat but a political bulldozer and trailblazer. They further maintained that Ned Nwoko has his political machinery with the people and that makes it more dangerous. This is because the party structure can never be able to convince the people against him in the event that the leaders decide otherwise like they usually do.

However, there is hope, in the sense that the PDP in Delta State had learnt her lesson with the Governorship primary election of 2015. There is hope of transparency because, the man whose election against all odds produced him through a credible process is the same man, today holding sway as the Governor of Delta State; and that is our own Ekwueme Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa. And he has said that having been a product of a transparent primary election process, he would ensure that every internal election of PDP must also go through the same process of transparency going forward. It therefore means that the transparent process of primaries will trickle down the line of every political office the party has interest in.

Going by this, it then again means that the Oracle of Rigging will be put to rest and mediocrity will not raise its ugly head again in Anioma polity. And with this, the right candidates will emerge.

Perhaps, there are three things that this transformation will do for us  if vigorously and honestly followed. First, it will usher in the gains of democracy which are anchored on the three pillars of democracy - Credibility of the Ballot; Rule of Law and Good Governance. Secondly, it will produce a working system. Thirdly, the people will be empowered and economic growth and development will spring up naturally.

In a nutshell, if the credibility of the ballot starting from primaries to main elections is enabled, then the system can on its own automatically reduce political rats to their true statuses, while those geniuses, technocrats and ready to serve politicians will be magnified. This is where Prince Ned Nwoko, the man who has never lost any credible election since being in politics comes in as the Anioma Beautiful Bride on a Rescue Mission.

Of course, Ned's acceptance is very wide. Apart from being talked about in the social media and every circle of political discourse, the February 3rd meeting of Delta North PDP in Kwale further affirmed this analogy. Princely dressed and royally ushered into the meeting with loud ovation, the Great Prince of Anioma indeed, almost stole the show. His aura, clout and joy of the people identifying with him were highly intimidating, even to those who see him as a competitor. None the less, the man Ned Nwoko is never viewed as a competitor by those who know the stuff he is made of, but a Serial Victor.
