WHAT HON. ESEWEZIE WILL DO DIFFERENTLY

*PART FIVE.

With the current dwindling in prices of crude oil in the International Market, Agriculture now seems to be the most sustainable way forward if proper investments are made into this sector.

*"I will use my Office, if given the mandate, to ensure that the Agrarian potentials of Illah Community is fully harnessed" - Hon. Esewezie.

Agriculture which involves the practice  and occupation of land cultivation, raising crops and also involves feeding, breeding and raising livestock currently contributes between 30-40% to the National GDP.

Although Agriculture is no longer the focal point of the Nigerian Economy, it still plays some important roles. And so unless there is massive accelerated development in the rural areas where 80% of Nigeria population reside and depend on Agriculture, our goal for National self-sufficiency will continue to elude us as a Nation.

Therefore, placing more emphasis on further development in Agriculture would be rational since it contributes substantially to the overall development of the community and by extension, the Nation.

*ILLAH COMMUNITY IN OSHIMILI NORTH.
Illah, a peaceful community located on the West bank of the River Niger is bordered by 5 communities to include Ebu, Ukala, Ezi, Akwu-Igbo and Ugbolu.

Illah Community has about 98% of the population has farmers and this stems from the fact that Illah is richly blessed with an abundant of natural resources to include very fertile land and great fishing opportunity.

Economically, the community is well known for its abundant production of Rice and other crops, including fishing.

Hon. Innocent Esewezie, SSA to the Governor on Youth Development also occupies the position of Delta North Representative in the Directorate of Orientation and currently he is the Director-General of State Community Youth Association is very much passionate about Youth development in the Local Government and the State in general.

Hon. Esewezie, who is vying to Represent Oshimili North LGA in the State House of Assembly come 2019 has enumerated the benefits accrueable to Illah Community to include amongst others:
1. Increase in food supply.
2. Prerequisite for raw materials to support industries.
3. Employment opportunities for rural dwellers and our teeming unemployed youths.
4. Reduce inequality/disparity between rural and urban dwellers because farmer's prosperity would help raise their income power.
5. Contribution to National income.
An increase in the production capacities of Illah can be made possible when the agrarian potential of Illah Community is fully harnessed. And this can be achieved when the necessary infrastructural developments are put in place like access roads to link neighboring communities and also to the farms.

Hon. Innocent Esewezie is giving assurance of his commitment to ensure that the necessary development are attracted to Illah Community to fast track development to the community OZIGBO OZIGBO like he is known for.
