RE: CHIEF GREAT OVEDJE OGBORU APPEALS FOR CALM AMONGST PARTY LEADERS AND SUPPORTERS IN DELTA STATE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS.

The attention of APC Youth League, Delta Coordinate has been drawn to the above titled press statement issued by one Prince Christopher Agaga on behalf of Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru.

We wouldn't have responded to the said statement as we see it as medicine after death, but the need to keep our great Party in the State united called for this reply.

We want to state it loud and clear that since the welcoming of Great Ovedje Ogboru to the Delta APC , there have been frequent internal crisis like never before in Delta APC, the major opposition party in the state. This crisis can be traced to Chief Ogboru's attempt at hijacking the structure of Delta APC at various times.

His acceptance into the party by the leaders lead by the State Leader of the party, Olorogun O'tega Emerhor OON,  should prove to him that there exist a Leader of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) before he joined us.

We put it to Chief Ogboru that he lacks the moral justification to prove that his recent meeting held at Abraka, his hometown with LGA Chairmen and Secretaries was to build/grow the party and to eliminate divisions that will impair the electoral victory at the general election because it has been proven that he actually tried to bribe the LGA Chairmen and Secretaries to endorse him as the sole Governorship candidate of the party for the 2019 elections.

We also put it to Chief Ogboru that the meeting he hosted was aimed at causing more divisions in the Party and to incite the party members against the existing Leadership in all senatorial districts of the state.

Chief Ogboru who has severally refused to attend APC legitimate gatherings of all leaders in the state should continue to hide himself in shame than to indulge in this flippant act of divide and rule.

It is on record that Chief Ogboru's opinion was sought when the various APC Committees were set up, but he bluntly refused to make any input. He also refused to attend the inauguration of the committees at Asaba, all just for his egocentric and self centered ambition.

In a similar vein, he absented himself from a Leadership unification meeting hosted by Olorogun Otega Emerhor at the behest of all other Leaders in the Evwreni country home of the Leader.

Chief Ogboru's claim for unification is self deceit and should not be taken seriously and par adventure if he wish to contest the forthcoming general election, We advise him to do his campaign just as other aspirants are doing theirs rather than to seek to scuttle the leadership structure of the party he met on ground pending when National declares for Congresses.

Chief Ogboru should therefore be reminded that he has no moral and constitutional right as enshrined in the party constitution to invite the constitutional party structures for any APC gathering. His antics to unsurp the leadership structures from the foundation Executives, Leaders and members will be drastically rebuffed at anytime just as did by the bold Delta Central Chairmen and Secretaries and their Delta North counterpacts.

We are calling on Chief Ogboru to desist from every move that will further divide the party in the State.

Finally, we want to remind Chief Ogboru that,  APC is a mega party and that he cannot foist himself as the Governorship candidate of the party as he did with his previous smaller parties that he has in the time past foisted himself on.

State Secretary, APC Youth League.
