NUJ DELTA COMMENSURATE WITH FAMILIES OF DEPARTED FELLOWS



Delta State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ has commiserated with the families of two of its members Mr Augustine Okwuolise and Mr Godday Aghantin Owah who passed on recently.

The Delta State Chairman of the NUJ Comrade Michael Ikeogwu who led members of the state executive of the Union on a  visit to Agbor and Asaba  said the two late media gurus left when their services were mostly needed.

Comrade Ikeogwu urged the bereaved families to take solace in the fact that Late Austine Okwuolise and Godday Owah died in Christ in addition to leaving enviable legacies.
While assuring them that the Union will be fully involved in their burial ceremonies he charged them to immortalize them by upholding the good deeds they stood for.

Mrs Okwuolise who spoke when the delegation visited said she was gladdened by the encomiums poured on her late husband by sympathisers since he died.

At the residence of Late Godday Owah his in-law Mr Philip Ebeyeoghor thanked the Union for the show of love and announced that he will be buried on Friday this week at Ekuma Abavo in Ika South local government area.

Late Okwuolise was until his death the public relations officer office of the Deputy Governor while Godday Owah was in charge of the ministry of Water Resources Asaba.

Both of them were also senior Staff ministry of Information Delta State.
