SCHOOL PROPRIETRESS ENJOINS PARENTS TO ENSURE ALL-ROUND DEVELOPMENT OF PUPILS






Parents have been advised to ensure that the educational needs of their children are met not only for their personal growth and development but for the socio-economic enhancement of the country at large.
The Proprietress of Divine Mercy International School, Ezinne (Mrs) Ifeoma Maidoh gave the advice at the 2nd graduation ceremony of the school in Asaba.
Mrs. Maidoh who expressed gratitude to the parents of the pupils of the school for their patronage, said that the need to contribute her quota in the development of the society informed her decision to establish the school, adding that as a mother, she was poised to raise worthy ambassadors that would redeem the deteriorating image of the nation.
She said that the school had a conducive learning environment and assured parents of more commitment in moulding the future of the children through qualitative teaching, even as the proprietress maintained that the school had qualified teachers and modern day learning facilities that would enhance learning.
Earlier in an address, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr.  Patrick Origho, who is the Permanent Secretary in the Government House Annex, Warri emphasised the need for parents and teachers to bring up the children with the fear of God.
Mr. Origho enjoined the graduands to be more purposeful in life, saying that they could encounter some challenges in their quest to attain greater heights in life, just as he said that with determination, they would surmount such challenges.
The Chairman of the occasion maintained that the standard of education had not fallen against the backdrop of the popular claim by members of the public, adding that the present school curriculum had been enriched.
In their separate remarks, the father of the proprietress of the school, Engr. Gilbert Erefo and a Chief Magistrate in the state, who is a parent of one of the graduands, Nnamdi Onyekwe said that with the standard of academic activities in the school, there was hope for the nation, stressing that the future belonged to the children of today.
Others who spoke applauded the efforts of the management of the  school for the mental and moral development of the pupils and urged them to continue to put in their best in the lives of the children.
The event which featured drama presentation, debate, poem recitation, Atilogu dance and other trilling activities saw the presentation of souvenirs to all the graduands and deserving hardworking staff of the school. Highlight of the event was the cutting of the graduation cake by the pupils assisted by the proprietress of the school, Ezinne (Mrs) Ifeoma Maidoh.
