RIVERS STATE.
RIVERS STATE..
RIVERS STATE…

SULTAN OF SOKOTO.
SULTAN OF SOKOTO..
SULTAN OF SOKOTO…

RIVERS STATE TRADITIONAL RULERS.
RIVERS STATE TRADITIONAL RULERS..
RIVERS STATE TRADITIONAL RULERS…

HOW MANY TIMES I CALL YOU???

The Sultan of Sokoto is not a traditional ruler of Rivers State.

I am confused by the political and traditional importance been accorded the Sultan.

While I appreciate the need for the association it has reached a level where Rivers State indigenes must wonder what this is, why this is, and what will be the benefit to Rivers State and Rivers indigenes.

The frequent visits of the Sultan to our beloved state is raising eyebrows and we the people of Rivers State especially the majority of Rivers people who are passionate about the fact that our state must not be handed over to a government that does not mean us well, need an explanation that is justified.

I remain committed to the security, development and ownership rights of Rivers State to all our Resources on and off shore, l will be renegading on my responsibility and commitment to our state, people and government of Rivers State if I don’t voice publicly the concerns that people have expressed to me over the visits of the Sultan of Sokoto.

He is accorded the type of honor our traditional rulers will not receive in any of the 19 northern states.

It is a pity that our traditional rulers while deserving of honor and respect do not hesitate to belittle themselves and the stools and powers they represent.

I maybe wrong but l can’t imagine the the Sultan of Sokoto leaving his palace to go receive any traditional ruler from Rivers State who is visiting his state.

If a traditional ruler of Rivers State refuses to respect himself, his people and the stool he represents how and why will he expect us the people they traditionally rule over to respect and honor them.

Our traditional rulers have left their traditional roles and have laid down the respect we give them that they are entitled to, on the dirty road of politics.

Our traditional rulers should not exchange their traditional roles and stools for political services.

Personally I grew up respecting traditional rulers and roles as l am of such decent but l will find it hard to respect and honor someone on a stool that he does not respect.

NOTICE TO POLITICAL JOBBERS ON BOTH SIDES.

This sincere position on the frequent visits of the Sultan of Sokoto to our beloved RIVERS STATE does not take away from my unsolicited support for the Gov Nyisom Wike lead government.

Gov Wike does not have to solicit for my support, l will support him based on my convictions and l do support his government.

No one is perfect, and this is why I am committed to expressing these concerns openly.

It is more honorable for me to say it publicly than for political JOBBERS to go twist what l express.
